A Celebration of Eucharistic and Marian Devotion

On more than one occasion the ARCHDIOCESAN BOY CHOIR of Philadelphia has sung for the Holy Father, the Pope, in Vatican City, Rome. This well traveled group has also sung on pilgrimage at many of the great shrines of Europe, Canada and the United States of America. These events would include visits to Fatima, Portugal; Knock, Ireland; and Avila, Spain to name just some. While many people are aware of the story of Lourdes, France and the connection with the image of golden roses, few are aware that after his first pilgrimage to both Fatima and Knock, the Holy Father left a gift as a memento of his visit, both times that gift was a GOLDEN ROSE. Around the world the new millennium has been marked by an increase in Eucharistic and Marian devotion. This recording celebrates these events, "A New Springtime in the Church" as described by His Holiness, Pope John Paul II.
